Regional Groundskeeping Supervisor – South and West Yorkshire

Overview

Express Recruitment are delighted to be representing a Property Management company based in Leeds that are looking to hire a hands-on Regional Groundskeeping Supervisor on a full time, permanent basis to join their team.

The successful candidate will oversee various landscaping and property maintenance sites throughout the South & West Yorkshire to ensure the grounds maintenance tasks are completed.

Their ideal candidate will still be happy being hands-on with gardening, groundskeeping and general outdoor maintenance tasks.

Due to the nature of the role, a full, clean UK driving licence will be required to apply for the role. A vehicle will be provided as part of the role for work purposes only. You will be tasked with maintaining a portfolio of properties across the Leeds, Sheffield, Bradford, Barnsley and other surrounding areas.

For the position, the company is offering a generous salary of up to £18 per hour D.O.E plus company vehicle, fuel card, PPE, uniform and tools provided. Overtime available on occasions and call out bonuses.

Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience in gardening, landscaping and ground maintenance  
  • Confident working with a wide range of power tools  
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience  
  • Full clean UK driving licence essential  
  • Experience driving a tow accompanied by a flatbed trailer desirable 
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with landlords and tenants  
  • Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety regulations  
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Travel to residential and commercial properties through South and West Yorkshire  
  • Inspect work carried out by Gardeners and Maintenance Technicians, ensuring all works has been completed to desired safety and quality standards  
  • Schedule day trips in advance at various locations to accompany grounds maintenance staff on site  
  • Delegate maintenance tasks and wider maintenance team  
  • Take ownership in looking after machinery, tools and grounds equipment, including ride on mowers, strimmer’s, chainsaws, hedge trimmers, flat bed trailers, leaf blowers, angle grinders and breakers  
  • Report broken or missing tools and equipment to the Commercial Manager  
  • Act as primary contact for tenants, landlords and residents regarding all enquiries or complaints  
  • Assist with general gardening and ground maintenance duties to support the sider grounds maintenance team
