IT Support Engineer

Overview

Express Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a growing and people-focused IT solutions provider who are looking to recruit an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their technical support team.

The successful candidate will have experience in a 2nd/3rd line support role and play a key role in resolving complex technical issues, supporting colleagues across the business, and delivering exceptional service to a diverse client base across multiple industries.

Skills & Experience
  • Previous 2nd or 3rd Line Support experience within an MSP or similar environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Windows Server, networking and virtualisation
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
  • Experience using RMM and PSA tools
  • Relevant IT certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA or ITIL beneficial
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites when required
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Act as the escalation point for advanced and complex technical support issues
  • Carry out detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis across client environments
  • Support and mentor 1st Line colleagues, helping reduce unnecessary escalations Attend client sites where required to provide on-site support and investigations
  • Manage escalated support tickets in line with SLA agreements
  • Work closely with suppliers, vendors and third-party providers to resolve issues
  • Document fixes, processes and technical solutions within the knowledge base
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, automation initiatives and service enhancements
