Electrical Fire Service Engineer

Express Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing fire and security solutions provider, who, due to continued expansion, are seeking a Fire Systems Service Engineer (Electrical) to join their field-based team, based in the West Country.

Our client has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire safety, suppression, and security solutions across a nationwide customer base. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to join a forward-thinking organisation that places strong emphasis on safety, technical excellence, and customer service.

The role will be field-based, covering Bristol and surrounding areas, offering a competitive salary up to £37k plus overtime alongside a comprehensive benefits package including a company van, fuel card, uniform, ongoing training, increasing annual leave with service and career development opportunities.

Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience working on electrical fire life safety systems within a service or maintenance environment
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to build positive client relationships
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Full UK driving licence
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and servicing of fire and security systems in line with schedules
  • Undertake electrical repairs, fault finding, and installations as required
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated in compliance with Health and Safety standards
  • Complete detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate service records
  • Identify and report system defects, ensuring timely remedial action
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, providing a high level of service at all times
  • Manage vehicle stock and materials to ensure efficient service delivery
