SMT Operator – Siemens and Fuji

Overview

Express Recruitment are excited to be working in partnership with a highly successful and well-established electronics manufacturer to recruit an SMT Operator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling electronic products in line with production specifications, carrying out quality checks, and following technical instructions to ensure high manufacturing standards.

In return, there is a salary on offer of up to c£30,000, alongside a workplace pension, generous holiday allowance, and an annual performance bonus. You'll also join a supportive and collaborative team within a growing manufacturing environment, where ongoing training and development are encouraged.

Skills & Experience
  • Set up and operate SMT production machinery in line with production schedules and work instructions.
  • Read and interpret production documentation to ensure machines are correctly configured for each job.
  • Monitor production runs, maintaining a consistent flow of boards and minimising waste and machine downtime.
  • Carry out in-process quality inspections and report any defects or production issues to the Manufacturing Engineering team.
  • Accurately record production data, efficiency figures, and completed jobs using the BaaN ERP system.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate a range of production machinery to manufacture high-quality printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Monitor machine performance and ensure production runs efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
  • Clean and maintain the production line and equipment following the completion of each production run.
  • Accurately record production data and job information using the BaaN ERP system.
  • Carry out routine quality inspections to ensure finished products meet company specifications and customer requirements.
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures while working collaboratively with the production team to achieve daily manufacturing targets
