Graduate Business Development Representative – Technology

Overview

Are you a recent graduate and looking to kick start your career within tech sales? Express Recruitment are working in partnership with a growing technology solutions provider who, due to continued expansion, are seeking a driven Business Development Representative to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either a candidate looking to kickstart their career in tech/IT sales, or a more experienced sales professional with a proven track record in the sector.

The role offers a competitive salary of £25k–£30k alongside an uncapped commission structure with a realistic OTE of an additional c£12k. Additional benefits include 25 days holiday plus stats, ongoing training and career development opportunities. Please note, this role is office-based initially (5 days per week for the first 6 months), moving to a 4-day office / 1-day flexible arrangement thereafter.

Skills & Experience
  • Graduate level education advantageous, with a desire to build long term career in sales
  • Ability to confidently sell ideas, services, and solutions
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively
  • IT proficiency and confidence in learning new systems and technologies
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven approach to sales
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across prospective clients
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with new clients, understanding their needs to uncover sales opportunities
  • Follow targeted sales strategies provided by leadership and marketing to generate pipeline growth
  • Work towards individual KPIs, including commission and personal development objectives
  • Collaborate with senior sales colleagues to accurately record customer and technical requirements within CRM systems
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build relationships and enhance market knowledge
