Lead Practitioner – Maths

Overview

Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a reputable educational institution to recruit an experienced Lead Practitioner – Maths on a permanent basis, starting in September working in a school based in Tonbridge, Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Maths Teacher with leadership experience to play a key role in driving high standards of teaching and learning. You will support staff development, contribute to whole school improvement, and help ensure strong student outcomes across the department.

Skills & Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Proven UK experience teaching Maths
  • Previous leadership experience, such as Lead Practitioner or similar roles
  • Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to support, motivate, and develop teaching staff
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Support and enhance the quality of teaching and learning within the Maths department
  • Lead on best practice, coaching, and mentoring colleagues
  • Contribute to curriculum development in line with national requirements
  • Monitor student progress and support strategies to improve attainment
  • Work closely with senior leadership and department heads
  • Promote a positive and engaging learning environment for students
